At the mention of the name Arsène Wenger, Everyone will give you his/her account of how he knows that him. There are those who will tell you that he is one of the most successful managers in the entire English football, and others will tell you that he is indeed, the best and gifted manager in the football world. Arsène, who has been in Charge of the Arsenal for 11 years, -And going very strong, is somebody who is seen as very intelligent and motivational to his players. He has the panache of getting the best out of somebody just by seeing how that person is committed. Once you work hard and is committed, then you have him to guide you through. Sulk a bit and you are done. I listened- ok- actually read some interview by ex Arsenal players including Adams, they were asked to compare Arsène's management and there former previous manager before Wenger, I remember them saying that Arsène will give you time to improve no matter how many mistakes you make as long you show him that you want to improve and work hard (That explains Cygan's situation).

Arsène is armed with a degree in economics, he has transformed Arsenal, to a very high level using very little resources. He will never or does not believe that buying success is success, he says in some exclusive extract from Business times:

"
I feel that if you have unlimited resources, then it takes some part out of the job. If I make a debt tomorrow of £300M and I have a super team, I don't feel I've done the job." Arsène Said.

In this issue though, I will deal with his post as the Brand AMBASSADOR for Castrol, the BP division that makes car engine oils. He is supposed to be in next year's European football championship, where he is supposed to sponsor vocally the relaunch of the Castrol range of products, this guys at BP believe that Arsène is a management guru in the making and they will like to have part of what he Arsène has done at Arsenal. But, wait, what does Arsène think?

"
There is a little difference between leading a football team and a business"

But he acknowledges that management is the same regardless of which field since it deals with managing people and trying to get the best out of them. To do that you have to put them in a position where they can perform what they are good at. There's no difference between them except that football is a more public venture than the other. He further says that people perform well when they are happy. And it's always difficult to find a good balance between getting people happy mad being demanding. They have feel important but get them performing at a top level.

But err- sir, what is your secret of achieving the above things and yet success without falling apart with others or your team under performing?

"A
very important factor for a manager is to keep communication going. When you manage a group of people you always have an appreciation of the distance between you and your players individually. I always try to establish the right level of communication and trust between the players and me. Of course, that is more difficult when players do not play, but you can still show them respect and esteem."

He was fast to say that communication sits as the major key to unlocking some of the potentials.

It does not supprise  me though here, Every player comes out and says I had a word with boss about my future, we talked what we said, and I decided to stay or go! Many I times I hear that and many I a times am happy with it. Fabregas who never looke like scoring goals last season was given a key to goals this season by him Arsène. I imagine them talking:

"Cesc, you are young and have many years a head of you, nobody will pull you to slaughter house if you don't score for another 2 years. Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself so much that you feel by not scoring is criminal. Do this, ehe, next time you receive a pass near inside 25 yard, take time look where the goalkeeper is, and put the ball where he not. BUT, the net  has to be visiable and stop the ball. Right?." And there went Cesc scoring almost for fun.

Not everything that Arsène does is simple as it looks, look at this for example Wenger said that one of the hardest parts of the job – and one that history shows he has a talent for – was knowing precisely when to move experienced people out of a job to make way for young blood. He acknowledged that this was not an easy task, requiring "bravery", but it was an essential part of "innovation and moving forward".
"A
top-level person knows where he stands and can analyse where he is. He has an ability to exploit his talent," he said.

And sir, finally how did you assembled an enviable selection of talented young stars, with limited resources and may tell me why don't you buy every big star that comes into the market?

"T
hat is where I work like any manager in any kind of business." He said. "I look first at how much money I have available, and with that money, I want to make a good team.
"You don't go out tomorrow and spend £300M buying everybody, and then think you have a team and you are a great manager!"
"Finally on the last quastion, in a bigger club, there are too many people with no clear responsibilities. It becomes very difficult because people feel they are not very useful."
