GUNNING HIGHER

GUNNING HIGHER

I am going through some headlines here and blogs, making me wonder how long I will survive all this without being pronounced pure insane. I can't grasp the fact that some thwarts are complaining and claiming that we are on our down now that we have drawn the game we had at hand! The team they are talking about is the team that was beaten home by BBR, and Liverpool convincingly. What is all this? Right, I felt bad seeing that Taylor's goal go in, more so I felt more bad that we cannot create any chances going forward, but didn't we play well in the first half-at least that is what we are good at until our midfield engine of Hleb, Cesc, and Flamini (Am ashamed to say that he is now pivotal to this side of Arsenal) is fully repaired. We play well in the first half, and then we are dead in the second.

Yeah, there is a long journey to the title, and even to the 3rd spot. On our side, Arsenal is doing the best to make sure they play the game they like playing, and the other teams do their job.  That is what every team should concentrate in doing at least. This story of saying we are going to drop points and brah brah, who said they are not going to drop points too? Its that bad to imagine that we could have won, and the other managers are not doing anything to make that saying settle down faster and get forgotten. They have no right of saying that we will drop points! It will give me a heart attack.

Quality wise, yesterday we missed a lot from out team at Newcastle, but still show me a team who can gain a point from a manager threatened team when you have four very very important players missing from your team. Just imagine what Flamini could have done yesterday in place of poor old Gilberto? And add to what Hleb's contribution coupled by the ever midfield genius of Cesc? What if we had Robin Van P.? That is what we call a point gained and not a 2 points lost. Talking of important players missing, what was Gilberto doing? Giving away balls on dangerous areas, not tracking we enough to give distribution chance, is he over the hill? And why did Arsène switch Eduardo to the wing? That guy cannot help defense! Last time I quoted how he helped poor Traore, and now here he was creating a goal for Newcastle. HE IS NOT A WINGER.

Diarra works very hard I wish he had somebody who could hold the back for him. Although he has no idea going forward like Cesc though. One funny thing, we are going to miss them four guys on our trip to Boro.

Yaaaach I hate this all ideas. We will win on Sunday 0-4 or 4-0 as long as its in our favor.

I haven't been of the best minds since we lost at Seville. Wait!, I am not those plastic fans who chase a team as long as it's winning and then take i deve when things get bad. Having noted that, am a different, natural, but still moody after loosing to a dodgy goal mostly. Ask my uncle and he'll confirm that even eating becomes like attending a dentist. In this world I am, it's those times that we go for fishing, desert mongoose hunting, and basking as it is the only time we have cool temperatures. By cool temperatures I mean 40 degrees Celsius. Meaning i enjoy it while it lasts.

I have been following up some match statistics of lately, and have come to realize that they are a hell of statistics which are all right until they favor another team. For example, let's start with the first 5 games. We used to have all the red top newspapers having penalty given as a statistic every weekend until teams like Liverpool got more of them in fact weekly. Another was a team that had no English in the national team until England fielded a team without a Manchester united player twice. The time when they used to include the number of yellow cards given and the number of fouls committed is not working since we look like we are more disciplined than there favoured teams. All those statistics dont exist these days. Or does they?  I mean like this, some papers must remind the nation how many English men were in our team at a particular time. I have no idea if that happens to other teams too. I was angered by the fact that they said Walcott got first team game against Wigan due to injury to Hleb. I was about to remind them that Ebuoe was there to take his place if it was injury. They piss me those mugs.

I watched that Villa game and I was amazed with the potential of that team, although I was far from home and trying to watch via internet, I did enjoy the game up to the time somebody decided to kick some fresh off Hleb. It was a nice game before that, after the game, I have no clue what happened. I think we played 10 men since then as I can remember Walcott came and went somewhere I have no idea to. Or was it that my laptop could not show him? How we played very well in the first half without Fabregas and Denilson both who were not on the bench, is something I need to clap our club for. Diarra was very aggressive as was Flamini as always is his character this season. Clichy and Sagna did there work as always as was Gallas and Kolo. That is it from Saturday.

Tomorrow is a day to which I feel we need to have total belief and trust that we can win and win convincingly. As am writing this blog, already Ronaldo has scored two goals from a corner, meaning that they are again 3 points behind us. We have beaten Newcastle this season with a team consisting of: Fabiansiky, Traore, Hoyte, Senderos, Song, Walcott, Bendetner, Denilson, Diarra, Gibbs and DSE. We are not going to sit back and expect all those chances Martins wasted are going to be wasted again! No, we need to tighten our defense and improve on ball distribution now that Cesc and Hleb magician are not present. This is the time we need to gain our lost momentum to the hectic December schedule where we will have Chelsea coming up soon. If we get nine points in these 8 days, then we will have gone another mile.

As I can say, let's win our matches.

Otherwise I wish the Arsenal FC a nice game on Wednesday night and let them come unscattered with another hip of injuries like Gallas who was complaining in the last game.

We eventually lost!!
It started from a hitting a 7 goal festive past a startled Slavia team, before we went there and found impenetrateable hard working group who were threatening to break our good records of scoring in every game and not conceded a goal in this season's champions league. At last they managed breaking one of those, which was holding our toothless strike force that could not find a way past a five-man defense in Czech. So, one record gone, another yet to be broken. It was a matter of time before we know how long it will last.
For the second time, this Carling cup team has not delivered the results in Europe, and this time round, they failed badly to an extent of breaking our own two other records. The Arsenal is blooding great talents in the names of Armanda Traore, Justine Hoyte and Nicklas Bendtner (This guy has debouched to be an understudy to Adebayour, and he is doing his job nicely that you cannot stop admiring him), all who are super talented and ready to work for our team, but I supposed at champions level it was such a baptism by fire for the boys. The Sevilla team is a team which had a mind of revenge, a mind of making sure that the world knows they are not UEFA cup holders for fun or coincidence and luck, but through hard working and team spirit. They were determined to show that they can be a force in champions' league stage. When you send them a Carling cup team, they not only feel very happy and determined to do as they wanted but also they have the confidence to run at you at any time. It's very hard for a 17-year-old Armanda to be tasked to one big guy like Luis Fabiano. Its more hard for that 17 year old to have a striker- I mean a pure striker in the name of Eduardo - to be his winger. Eduardo has no defensive instincts and can not be expected to protect a full back. Rosicky could have worked there better with Eduardo partnering Bendtner up front.
Am not trying to say Arsène made a mistake, it's my desire that we could have finished on top of that group to avoid pooling teams like Inter Milan, Barcelona, Manure, AC Milan, and such like. We could still had an advantage of playing the last game at home- which last year never gave us any advantage though as that was where we went out of the competition. It will be very hard to take the first slot in the group now that we are stuck at 10 points and Sevilla at 12 which they can make 15 or 13 or very hard, 12. We may make 13 points at most which means we will be group leaders if they fail to beat there next opponent by 6 goals to nil. The prospects of having two strong teams that will comfortably play in Europe was dashed and now back to what we know. Like Chelsea who play Carling cup teams from championship with there strong first team, we need to do that in Europe every other time to avoid demoralization and break up of winning streaks up to at least May?
It would be my delectation to see this team assembled cheaply to work there to great heights leaving our haters perplexed and hating us more. But still its time to realize any team cannot go all seasons minus a loss. At least they need to lose some games to make up competitions- otherwise it will not be competition. I know whether we had all the top players we had, it still could be hard, as it was seen at the
Emirates Stadium last time we met. They can score, defend and work you out any time. They are a good side if at all they can get rid of 'Ebouesim', they are nice. Talking of the Ebouesim, why are those guys from Sevilla diving and faking injuries at that rated uncontrolled?
I'll research on that, and tell you, have a nice time as I continue kicking the dog here.

Double Win For The Arsenal

By STARNCY DANIEL

Can premier league be more interesting as it is getting now? Imagine Tottenham are in the 14th position, Manchester are loosing to Bolton for all the teams in the premier league!! Red nose finishes his game on the stands, Liverpool is winning at least giving some threat to the Chelsea and above all we are still top of the league with a game at hand plus a 3 point lead. As they say, we are yet to get our real test of the PL. Or did they stop saying that? Yea, of course we tried very much to break down a four man midfield of resistant midfield of Wigan, although that I remember doing it less than 10 minutes as it is Arsenal's tendency. But there was a problem a head, 4-man midfield was backed up by a 5-man defense, and without our main creative midfielders, it was hard for only the experienced Rosicky who had a real big job of upping and dictating the temple of play.
How teams go out to play such a game is beyond me. But who can't do that when you have been whacked by another team 4-0 on your last game? May be that was not the issue, its that there are ways of approaching the game when you are dealing of a tireless Arsenal FC, pack up the bus and let destiny do the rest. It's a déjà vu, we have seen team come to arsenal and do it every time including Manchester, except Seville who almost gave us a test of our own medicine back in champions league. Most managers as realized by Sanchez, the Fulham gaffer, it's to check what arsenal are good at and stop them at that. He said once that:
"We know Jens is sometimes not himself, he makes some mistakes when under pressure, and so we asked Healy to follow him every time"

That is what I call calculated moves to finish opposition. Why not, every manager does that! But what irritates me is the style of play they come up with. Very poor and unprofessional no wonder is usually full regardless of gate payments. I mean who can like to miss that entertainment year in year out? Me? Not me.

After Manchester lost on Saturday to Bolton, I was very happy with the crap that they have the best attacking line up in world. What crap? Minus Ronaldo or Rooney, they are useless!! They can hardly create or take any chance without them! With their super angry manager, and irritating fans, they have every right to say they had injuries. I mean we never had our most creative striker when we faced them, what is it like we had our best midfielders when beating Wigan? No! It's that we have a team that can function from any place. Look what they Manu tried during carling cup? They lost-and we are going on with our second team.
My point is, the loss of Manu was by itself a win for Arsenal because we have yet to lose, and we are yet not to score in every game of the PL। Manu with their scaring attack, they have no idea how to score when one of them is missing. Boy, don't I hate Manu? Scaring attack? Yes, do this one day, record a Manu game, make sure the game Tevez scores. If your Kid is bothering you, forward to where Tevez has scored then pause, zoom in to only see the face, I promise you, you'll never see your son bothering you again. I have tried it and it has worked.

Tomorrow will be a sweet day for the Arsenal. I am hoping that we have a nice team and resting players who will be traveling to our other test of PL to
Villa Park. My main theme is, we keep our records intact lets not concede a goal, and lets score some goals. Rest guys like Fab after half time. My team will look like this.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++ Almunia +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sagna /Hoyte ++++Toure /Senderos ++ Gallas +++++ Clichy /Traore

Eboue +++++ Fabregas/Dennilson +++++ Gilberto / Diarra ++++ Rosicky

+++++++++++++ Eduardo/Walcott +++ Adebayour/Bendtner +++++++

The included players can either start or come after halftime. If Gilberto starts, no need for Diarra to come on. And if Fabregas starts the Dennilson has to
come on after an hour. If Adebayour starts he needs to be rested. And Toure too needs a rest we need him at Villa Park.
Otherwise enjoy your game everywhere you are.

Wenger Ambassador

By STARNCY DANIEL

At the mention of the name Arsène Wenger, Everyone will give you his/her account of how he knows that him. There are those who will tell you that he is one of the most successful managers in the entire English football, and others will tell you that he is indeed, the best and gifted manager in the football world. Arsène, who has been in Charge of the Arsenal for 11 years, -And going very strong, is somebody who is seen as very intelligent and motivational to his players. He has the panache of getting the best out of somebody just by seeing how that person is committed. Once you work hard and is committed, then you have him to guide you through. Sulk a bit and you are done. I listened- ok- actually read some interview by ex Arsenal players including Adams, they were asked to compare Arsène's management and there former previous manager before Wenger, I remember them saying that Arsène will give you time to improve no matter how many mistakes you make as long you show him that you want to improve and work hard (That explains Cygan's situation).

Arsène is armed with a degree in economics, he has transformed Arsenal, to a very high level using very little resources. He will never or does not believe that buying success is success, he says in some exclusive extract from Business times:

"
I feel that if you have unlimited resources, then it takes some part out of the job. If I make a debt tomorrow of £300M and I have a super team, I don't feel I've done the job." Arsène Said.

In this issue though, I will deal with his post as the Brand AMBASSADOR for Castrol, the BP division that makes car engine oils. He is supposed to be in next year's European football championship, where he is supposed to sponsor vocally the relaunch of the Castrol range of products, this guys at BP believe that Arsène is a management guru in the making and they will like to have part of what he Arsène has done at Arsenal. But, wait, what does Arsène think?

"
There is a little difference between leading a football team and a business"

But he acknowledges that management is the same regardless of which field since it deals with managing people and trying to get the best out of them. To do that you have to put them in a position where they can perform what they are good at. There's no difference between them except that football is a more public venture than the other. He further says that people perform well when they are happy. And it's always difficult to find a good balance between getting people happy mad being demanding. They have feel important but get them performing at a top level.

But err- sir, what is your secret of achieving the above things and yet success without falling apart with others or your team under performing?

"A
very important factor for a manager is to keep communication going. When you manage a group of people you always have an appreciation of the distance between you and your players individually. I always try to establish the right level of communication and trust between the players and me. Of course, that is more difficult when players do not play, but you can still show them respect and esteem."

He was fast to say that communication sits as the major key to unlocking some of the potentials.

It does not supprise  me though here, Every player comes out and says I had a word with boss about my future, we talked what we said, and I decided to stay or go! Many I times I hear that and many I a times am happy with it. Fabregas who never looke like scoring goals last season was given a key to goals this season by him Arsène. I imagine them talking:

"Cesc, you are young and have many years a head of you, nobody will pull you to slaughter house if you don't score for another 2 years. Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself so much that you feel by not scoring is criminal. Do this, ehe, next time you receive a pass near inside 25 yard, take time look where the goalkeeper is, and put the ball where he not. BUT, the net  has to be visiable and stop the ball. Right?." And there went Cesc scoring almost for fun.

Not everything that Arsène does is simple as it looks, look at this for example Wenger said that one of the hardest parts of the job – and one that history shows he has a talent for – was knowing precisely when to move experienced people out of a job to make way for young blood. He acknowledged that this was not an easy task, requiring "bravery", but it was an essential part of "innovation and moving forward".
"A
top-level person knows where he stands and can analyse where he is. He has an ability to exploit his talent," he said.

And sir, finally how did you assembled an enviable selection of talented young stars, with limited resources and may tell me why don't you buy every big star that comes into the market?

"T
hat is where I work like any manager in any kind of business." He said. "I look first at how much money I have available, and with that money, I want to make a good team.
"You don't go out tomorrow and spend £300M buying everybody, and then think you have a team and you are a great manager!"
"Finally on the last quastion, in a bigger club, there are too many people with no clear responsibilities. It becomes very difficult because people feel they are not very useful."
Bits were taken from Btuk.

Wigan Played 5-4-1 Formation

By STARNCY DANIEL

Nice and convincing day for Bendtner in the office. It was unimaginable that we are drawing with Man-useless loosing to some team who are down there who have never won a game under there new manager. More sad was how Everton were whacking the woeful woeful Derby, sorry Sunderland. For the first time again I thought that was Derby playing until I checked names again to confirm. What were they doing? No matter Keano is a product of Manu and this was not there day. Going back to Manu, do they for one minute think that they are The ARSENAL? Forgive them. They had no ideas, no clues, no creativity no anything! Dismal abysmal playing. Ok for one I never bothered watching them.

Fergie underrated Bolton, the way he did in Carling cup. He one guy who need to wake up and.. forget him!

Back to our lovely game, much credit to our captain who has proved very phenomenon to our climbing tables. He rescues when needed, defends at least well, and controls the game.  He has been a leader, much to praise of Ghael Clichy who said that:

"He can boss you when need be and talk to you nicely at some times. He is a leader" Don't forget the huddling together of the team was due to his influence.

Walcott has improved very much that if he can finder a net like the Ronaldo of 1997/1998, that will be the gift Arsenal will never forget. As I go back to check the replays to give some highlights, have a nice time.

Till early Morining

Can Wenger coach two teams?

By STARNCY DANIEL

t is and it will stay as bad news for all the football fans out there who have, are and will be cherishing England for the excitement and suspense they give this beautiful game. And yesterday is among the days that many will not like to remember or like at any cost be reminded at all due to the tragic demise from next years euro cup. I will never sit back and point fingers, nor will I stand and count the better areas that this nation has gone ahead in terms of football, but, still to be doing right, I must say that it was disappointing from the word go and it has nothing to with Croatia game at Wembley, but all the campaign which was unbelievable and disastrous.

Nobody will ever belived that England as hyped as they are never qualified from a group containing Andorra, Estonia, Macedonia, Israel, Russia, Croatia. What started very wrong, ended too wrong.

It looked like it was never going to happen as every game came and went with its blame and claims. I do remember time when Robinson was accused of fumbling on a back pass!? That ball hit a drift and in it went? But who was to blame for the goal scored against two tall and muscular defenders by a short Eduardo? Not who?

As MacClaren was busy cerebrating the win of Israel-who a good job to have MacClaren in office till today, He forgot to assemble his troops.

"U

nbelieveable. I'd actually slipped into the bathroom and I heard a big scream from my two boys and I gathered that, unbelievably, Israel had got the winner."

On his account, He is not going to step down. He says thus:

"I'm not stepping down," McClaren told BBC Sport after England, who needed just a point to qualify from Group E, lost 3-2 to Croatia at Wembley.

"I take responsiblity - it was my job to get us qualified and I failed to do it. I'm not discussing my future."

And the FH have decided to sit delebarate on the way forward on this macClaren

Was a disappointing exit from such a nice competition maybe FA will sit and think of what will happen until world cup qualifiers.

May be it has something to do with Johnny. Since, the stars who were at the field bagging a little less than 130,000, were out-thought, out-played and out-muscled!!

Was a shot one..

Managerless Teams

By STARNCY DANIEL

This season looks to be more affected with sucking mangers and moving mangers between clubs. We have had to play teams with new or no manager at all. The first time we played Steaua Bucharest who had fired their manger due to unknown reasons - ok may be known to them. We faced a Bolton side with no manager at all, and now it looks very possible we are heading into a weekend to a team with a new tactical manager in a Wigan setup. Bruce (Wills) is going to take over at Wigan or has taken over already, which is going to make 3 clubs we have played with no manager.

Looking forward, it may mean that by the time we play Seville, away they will be having a new manger with them, that is a tricky situation since new mangers come to prove something very fast to their new employers. It will not be only Seville that will be having a new manger during the time we play them, but also Birmingham will be with a new manger or without a manager by the time we play them. 5 clubs in half season without mangers or with new managers is not something that we need to forget that easily I haven't been able to be in the PL that time to see clubs run mad with their managers firing hiring tabbing up, and frustrating them mangers at a big rate.

Wigan will playing like they have been possessed by a small devil and Bruce will be there to prove that the management never got it wrong to get him. This are very frustrating games that need more patient than work rates. We do exactly remember what they almost did to us last season at Emirates after scoring one mad goal. They packed their bus, and they can do that in any day to stop us from scoring. I wish Bruce will not have come in early enough to make some of defensive works work out since it worked against Liverpool and they got a point out of it, they may come to take chances at parking their defense. This manger-less/new managed clubs are very hard to break down, see Bolton, steaua Bucharest, it was very hard to beat them until the last quarter of second half. They can defend as if all their lives are bugged there. But, they don't do only the defending, but, they can get your goalie sleeping and make a goal a point or even three from there!! Not funny.

Am trying to think on how we can beat Wigan by around 3 goals, and more, I have selected a team based if V. Perse will be ok. They will team up with Adebayour up front, franked by the Mozart, and jiggling genius of Alex Hleb.

Midfield without our misterio, I have no idea who will be ahead of the other there, I can easily go with Denilson, since I like him as he is second to Fabregas in terms of distribution, other than Diaby who can be disappointing on his day. With that in mind Jens with his finger salute may wait for Almunia to flatter.

Enjoy the game wherever you are..

As you enjoy, I think we have missed alot of EPL, I have put this cilps here so that we can remember how, we are going to mess The Fabulous Cesc on this day

You cannot stop admiring Theo Walcott’s speed and trickery which makes you stay on the edge of your seat every time a ball is played towards his direction. He has enormous talent that you will be happy with for this
autochthonous son of this media biddable nation. He is from any angle a good “future talent” It’s that future talent that makes me talk about shouts for him to be called to England senior squad.

After running past idealess Bulgarian defenders who had no idea how to tame him with his sizzling speeds and trickeries, he has come of age as per others and media to be in the England senior squad. Theo as a person under superb guidance of Arsene can be a hit in the foot-balling world. But, as many other could wonder, is it the right time this time round? I mean it seemed that it was not the right time during last year’s world cup, but will it be the right time NOW?

NO

The national team is not a bricolage, it’s a team that has been forced up many other people due the primas who are glazing it regardless whether they are off form or just wheeled to the ball by some hired wheelers. They will not see other people who are performing up to now in there clubs, they will never look at Bolton for instance, I think they could have picked up a striker who can deliver.

OK, I was not talking of England, but Theo, let him mature in confidence, please don’t put him in the same team which has Gerard, and Rio. He will never get to the confidence he is needed to have.

Hi guys welcome and thanks for popping here.....

It’s a fascinating thing to have a mini league inside another league. What of a league containing black guys against white guys? Or, make it against red guys? I have been looking at issues from a different angle all together which makes me look like am being nonchalant on the issues on the ground. I don’t have anything against all the big scholars who are trying to protect their national identity, but am looking at a world that has been brought together by a social event called football. As a philosopher and sociologist, I do understand that football is a game, which has, other that entertaining and exercise, it has also a greater value of socialization and interracial togetherness with inter-tribal mingling and togetherness at a larger ground. Beating all this to a call of jovial, happiness and abundance of development is at a glance trying to to make the beautiful more nice but the reverse as seen, kills the game its main objectives. The objectives of sociology, entertainment, excising and leisurely values, don’t include anything concerning payments, boundaries, race, nationality, and even age. In fact in the first place football was supposed to break the aforementioned vices. That will be the reasons as to why the first thinking (I mean real thinking men decided to have world cups, Asia cups, Euro cups and all sorts) men who knew what football was never put crab cabs on players regardless.

That is why am after having a mean league inside the main league, a league of anybody from any part of the world as long as he is not originating from the country the other is coming from. We will be having 8,6,7 or whichever number of English who will be allowed to be playing in the first team of all premier league teams (By force) who are playing with much pride and ego that they will not pass to a poor Berarussian, who is the at least the only one in the PL. There will be togetherness that when shaking hands before matches that English men will be comfortably smiling to each other, and poor Congolees will wait until he goes back with that hatred to Congo for a revenge. It’s a worth trial and we will see how soon people will start enjoying basketball and tennis more than football. That is because by then football will have lost its original meaning and hence, not for entertainment but competition as to how many English players a team can field. You realize the funny thing about that? Fans who are on the loosing team and they happen to have more English players, will be chanting every time a player touches a ball. Will be something like this:

“Ours /English”,

“ African”,

“ Spanish”,

“German”,

………………………………………………….

And such like.

A combination of forces between a poor person who has been in the football world long enough to destroy it, and one who seems to be loosing hope of shining as the media made him to be, will never let the good game betray the original meaning it meant to show. Mediocrity has overtaken sensitivity and oneness, where a sense of responsibility is hard to come by. Its hard for a person to stand up and point a finger to the right direction, that is his but keeps on blaming others for his own downfall. When you point a finger at any person, the other four are pointing at you, you are the burg we need to blame.
